Welcome from the Athletic Director

These are exciting times, especially for Alter athletics!  The 2007-08 Alter athletic teams continued their tradition of excellence!  We earned two State Championships (Girls Cross Country and Girls Basketball) and a State Runner-Up (Boys Soccer) during last school year.  We've been fortunate to earn seven State Championships since 2000 in five different sports.

In the GCL, the boys won championships in football, soccer, basketball and were co-champions in baseball.  In the GGCL, the girls won championships in cross country, golf, soccer, and swimming on their way to winning the All-Sports Trophy for the seventh year in a row!  Ten of our student-athletes earned  Player of the Year awards in the GCL and GGCL, while we had 7 coaches earn Coach of the Year awards in the leagues.  Congratulations to everyone!

It takes determination and dedication on the part of our student-athletes and coaches to maintain such a strong overall athletic program year in and year out.  It also takes a special commitment from our parents and supporters to make the program such a strong one.  Thank you for all that each of you contribute to make the Alter athletic program a special one!
