Welcome to the Guidance Office 

We would like to introduce ourselves to you and hope the coming year will be an exciting and rewarding one for you and your child.  Students with last names beginning with A-L have Mrs. Shannon Brown as their counselor (428-5332 or sbrown@alterhighschool.org), and students whose last names begin with M-Z have Ms. Courtney Graham (428-5333 or cgraham@alterhighschool.org).  

The Guidance Department strives to assist each student with the establishment of a healthy self-concept, the formation of meaningful interpersonal relationships, the formulations of goals, and the fulfillment of his/her individual potential.  

Students in each grade level will have an opportunity to meet with their respective counselor during the year.  Guidance passes giving the time and place of the appointment will be sent to the student.  A student can also schedule an appointment with his/her counselor with the Administrative Assistant in the Guidance Office, Mrs. Teresa Rupper (428-5316 or trupper@alterhighschool.org).  If for some reason a student cannot keep a guidance appointment, he/she should notify the counselor or the guidance secretary as soon as possible.
