Learning Center
The learning Center Program at Alter High School offers a fully mainstreamed academic support program for eligible students.
Learning Center Mission Statement
Alter High School, as a comprehensive High School, is committed to including individuals with disabilities as full participants in its programs, services and activities through compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the American Disabilities Act of 1990 and the applicable provisions of IDEIA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004).
The Learning Center's goal is to effectively implement and maintain student's assistance plans and to help students compensate for learning problems, enabling them to become independent, successful learners while in high school and beyond.
