Attend Open House.
Alter High School hosts an annual Open House every November for prospective students and their parents. This event is open to all 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders interested in learning more about Alter. You will hear about curriculum, activities, student life, financial aid, admissions procedures and more. One of our current students will be available to give you a personal tour of the campus as well as answer any questions that you have. Administrators, teachers, coaches, and parents will be on hand as well.
Register for and take the High School Placement Test.
The test will be given the Saturday before Thanksgiving. The test is taken only once and is taken only by students in the eighth grade. The test is given at a number of locations. When you take the test, be sure to designate in the results section that your scores should be forwarded to Alter. Students with documented special learning needs may request extended time or other accommodations. Placement Test results will be mailed to students in January. Register online or call the Admissions Office at 428-5394.
